"How can we improve the delivery of services in the mental health arena? How do we change the system to enable practitioners in a variety of mental health disciplines, such as social workers, clinical counselors and psychologists, to become a paid and vital option for consumers? Treatment of those in emotional distress is a proven method of reducing mental health anguish, yet we are stuck in a system that promotes the bio-medical model of mental health. Breaking this model will not only prove to be cost effective but a more enlightened approach to dealing with people is crisis."

When are we going to discover that vaccinations are causing a contingent of mentaly broken people, the evidence seems to be overwhelming from several sources, but we still can't see it. we can't see that five years after the big push for the flu shot there was an expotential increase in alzhiemers and dementia. There are very talented people that do the math to show these things why can't they be heard. would it be to much to ask to have some managaement of health care that looks beyond the office door or boardroom. There are lots of options in the world for health you just have to look."

Otherwise you must be dismissed.

Yes they should be coordinated, but I'm wary.  Mental health problems are over-prescribed - especially ADD/ADHD and to a degree dysthymia and depresssion. Preventing the creation of new problems is much easier and thus higher-priority than solving existing ones.

Mental health services are fragmented ranging from professional services in acute mental health facilities to well-meaning volunteer support groups throughout the community.  The result seems to be a lot of wheel spinning and dollars going in every direction.

Am not sure if in British Columbia at least, anyoone has a handle on just what is being provided by whom and from whence services are provided by direct payment, contribution, or volunteer.

One answer is to bring all mental health services under one umbrella through which patients can be directed to and receive appropriate help.

It must be a great secret to health care that there are other ways of helping mentally disabled people besides drugging them into oblivion and locking them up. Or putting them on the street, because we can not care for them with our present system of paperwork. Hundreds of these people could be helped if they were treated with homeopathic remedies instead of phycotic drugs, even traditional chinese medicine and averdic medicine could do more for them. of course some medical beauracrat would have to admit that he doesn't have the only way to treat people. but even miracles can happen if common sense prevails. We need to look at the successes of other countries instead of writing our own book when it come to health care.
YES BUT NOT AT EXPENSE TO OTHERS

You may only Argue what balance is required for public supported services as there will never be enough money to fund all.
